From the vanilla scented towels, to the delicious food, exciting game drives and phenomenal staff, our stay at Shiduli was magical from the second we arrived and lives in our hearts long after we left.
Your helpful staff greeted us as we arrived and and were with us every step of the way... literally. We were escorted to our private villa by Gary, who my children absolutely adored. Richard, in the bar was on form and Gogo Dorris had faith that we would see lions... which we did.
Thandy and Karen were friendly, professional and made us feel like old friends. We will definitely be back and will bring our friends and family so they can share in this beautiful gem.

...read moreWe’ve have just come back from a 3 night stay at earth lodge. One word incredible. We got to see the big 5 and a lot more animals. The game drives were amazing. The Knowledge of the tracker (Donald) and our guide (Helen) was exceptional and they ensured we were able to see everything. We seen leopards, cheetahs and lions. You stop for a morning coffee out in the bush and sundowners in the evening, this was also excellently organised. The rooms are absolutely stunning with the biggest mini bar I’ve ever seen. The drink options are fantastic. Super comfortable rooms and luxurious. Food was superb. Each evening there was a different location for dinner excellently curated by the team at the hotel, with food prepared to a very high standard. We also used the gym facilities which were great. The service and operational standards at this hotel are exceptional. I would 100% stay at this lodge again it was such an incredible experience

Jaci’s Tree Lodge
It is approximately a 3.5-hour drive to the lodge. We advise that you refuel at Sun Village, as there is no fuel available inside the reserve.
We do not recommend using a GPS to get to Jaci’s Lodges, please instead make use of the directions provided.
Follow the R565 road for approximately 39.4km passing Black Rhino Reserve and the Pilanesberg Platinum Mine turnoff, and turn left at KAYAKULU (tar road)
Continue straight along the D548 road for 24.8km until you reach a T-JUNCTION.
Turn right at the T-Junction onto a tar road.
After about 10 km you will pass signs to Obakeng Village on your left.
Continue for another 10km’s and turn left towards Madikwe/ Molatedi Gate (sign-posted) onto a dirt road.
This road is gravel. Continue on *the road towards MOLATEDI VILLAGE (do not take the Derdepoort turning to the right, continue straight) and over the MARICO RIVER (+/- 14km’s)
Continue straight to the MOLATEDI GATE entrance (+/- 7km’s) and into MADIKWE GAME RESERVE.

Treehouse Suites
The Treehouse Suites luxuriously accommodate guests in custom built stilted treehouse-style structures. Connected by elevated walkways, they each boast magnificent views into the surrounding riverine forest, as well as glimpses across the famous Marico River. The 8 Treehouse Suites blend effortlessly into the overarching canopy of lush foliage, making for fantastic birdwatching in a peaceful, natural environment.
Each of the 8 Treehouse Suites Include:
Twice-daily game drives, including sunset and sunrise stops
All meals daily
Local and specialised teas and fabulous filter coffee
Select local house drinks including a variety of fine South African wines, spirits, beers and non-alcoholic beverages (subject to booking terms and conditions)
Access to the Main Lodge and swimming pool area, as well as the Terrapin Hide, Tlou Deck and *Naledi Treehouse at Jaci’s Tree Lodge Madikwe

A spacious, open-plan bedroom which can be configured with either King or Twin beds

Terrapin Hide
The Terrapin Hide at Jaci’s Tree Lodge provides a truly unique vantage point for game watching, whether you want to capture priceless images of wildlife from the centre of our active waterhole or simply sit quietly, immersing yourself in your surroundings.
Accessible via an underwater tunnel, the submerged photographic hide is open to Jaci’s Tree Lodge and Jaci’s Starbed Suite guests 24-hours a day and for guests’ convenience, our photographic equipment is also available to hire. Whether you require a camera for a particular day’s safari drives or would like to make use of one for the duration of your stay, we are happy to be able to offer our guests quality photographic equipment rental.

- R1250.00 per camera per day, which consists of an evening and a morning drive.
Please Note:
The Terrapin Hide is only accessible to guests staying at Jaci’s Tree Lodge and Jaci’s Starbed Suites.
