Umkumbe Safari Lodge is a private lodge situated in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve. The owners themselves are managing the lodge ensuring guests enjoy a personal, and authentic safari experience. The lodge has ten chalets/rooms with most overlooking the Sand River. Guests regularly see elephants, hippos, buffalo and antelope grazing in the river bed.

Lion Sands Private Game Reserve, established in 1933, and forming part of the Sabi Sands / Kruger Park game reserve conservations, is an unfenced and well appointed game reserve - modelled after the warm tones and soft lighting of the area's colonial history. With its wood finishings and exceptional attention to detail, guests will begin to understand the holistic view of African luxury accommodation the minute they check in.

The reserve is named from the Shangaan word meaning "roar of the lion", Djuma Game Reserve is situated in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, it's here where the big five roam. The location of Djuma is part of the greater Kruger National Park. Djuma was started over twenty years ago as a safari lodge by the Moolman family and is renowned for the quality of its big five safari experience.

Tydon Bush Camp is one of the hidden secrets of Sabi Sands game reserve.  Although the camp is located less than 15 meters from the Sabi Sands gate, guests staying at the camp will have access to game drives in the most desired game reserve on the continent. Accommodation is in semi-luxury en-suite tented chalets. We recommend a minimum of three nights in order to get a great safari experience.

Arathusa Safari House is Arathusa’s more private accommodation for small groups or large families, set next to the main lodge with its own position on the watering hole. It’s a prime location that sees much of the reserve’s wildlife come by and you’ll have front row seats on your deck over the water. The safari house lies within the private Sabi Sand Game Reserve, which shares an unfenced border with the world-renowned Kruger National Park. The game viewing is exceptional and on drives, you’ll likely be treated to sightings of all the Big Five, with usually-elusive leopards frequently spotted here.

Anchored by our central, welcoming homestead, our private rooms are thoughtfully positioned amongst the trees, providing a sense of seclusion and serenity. Each room is light-filled and beautifully appointed, with private plunge pools and breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. At night, after an eventful day, drift off to dreamland as you bask in the delightful hubbub of the African bush right on your doorstep, knowing every detail is taken care of to ensure your complete satisfaction.

The beautiful green lawns, interspersed with ancient trees, surround various thatched buildings that make up your safari lodge: chalets with rooms, social seating areas, dining areas, and a refreshing pool, all overlooking a seasonal riverbed with a view to our private watering hole.
