Londolozi Varty Camp - Sabi Sands Game Reserve - Kruger National Park

Londolozi Varty Camp is the heart and soul of Londolozi Game Reserve. Varty Camp is the site of the original Sparta hunting camp, and a stay there has the feel of an old-time African safari holiday. Guests from all camps are invited to make use of the fully equipped gym located at Varty Camp.  All rooms have private swimming pools framed by timber decks that overlook the riverine bush. The living spaces are raised off the ground and shaded under a cathedral of trees. The camp has a pleasingly down-to-earth quality and the emphasis on family heritage means that children over six years of age always have a place at Varty Camp.

The camp fire has burned at Varty Camp for 90 years, making this place the symbolic heart of Londolozi. Varty Camp's décor echoes the tones of the owners’ private homes and reflects their ongoing love affair with the earth. Varty Camp offers accommodation in eight luxury and two superior chalets.

We’ve have just come back from a 3 night stay at earth lodge. One word incredible. We got to see the big 5 and a lot more animals. The game drives were amazing. The Knowledge of the tracker (Donald) and our guide (Helen) was exceptional and they ensured we were able to see everything. We seen leopards, cheetahs and lions. You stop for a morning coffee out in the bush and sundowners in the evening, this was also excellently organised. The rooms are absolutely stunning with the biggest mini bar I’ve ever seen. The drink options are fantastic. Super comfortable rooms and luxurious. Food was superb. Each evening there was a different location for dinner excellently curated by the team at the hotel, with food prepared to a very high standard. We also used the gym facilities which were great. The service and operational standards at this hotel are exceptional. I would 100% stay at this lodge again it was such an incredible experience

What a memorable stay.
Our experience was perfect from start to finish. Booking the experience through Andy set the tone for the stress-free bush experience.

From the vanilla scented towels, to the delicious food, exciting game drives and phenomenal staff, our stay at Shiduli was magical from the second we arrived and lives in our hearts long after we left.

Your helpful staff greeted us as we arrived and and were with us every step of the way... literally. We were escorted to our private villa by Gary, who my children absolutely adored. Richard, in the bar was on form and Gogo Dorris had faith that we would see lions... which we did.

Thandy and Karen were friendly, professional and made us feel like old friends. We will definitely be back and will bring our friends and family so they can share in this beautiful gem.

Londolozi Varty Camp – Sabi Sands Game Reserve – Information

Varty Camp is the heart & soul of Londolozi. It's the site of the original Sparta hunting camp, and a stay here has the feel of an old-time African safari holiday. A fully equipped gym facility and massage treatment room are located in Varty Camp. Guests from all camps are invited to make use of these facilities as well as the Yoga Deck situated next to Founders Camp. The camp fire has burned at Varty Camp for 90 years, making this place the symbolic heart of Londolozi. The Camp décor echoes the tones of the owners’ private homes and reflects their ongoing love affair with the earth.

Londolozi's Varty Camp has eight luxury, and two superior chalets, all with private plunge pools, and raised living areas, air conditioning, vaulted guest areas and leisure decks. The chalets are the smallest compared to all Londolozi's camps and there are no inter-leading rooms, hence it's the most affordable accommodation at Londolozi.
No two days are the same at Londolozi and the wildlife experience is tailored to suit individual preferences and expectations. Londolozi is situated on the Sand River in the very heart of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. Wild animals move freely across this vast space, offering spectacular game viewing and a true wilderness experience. Breeding herds of elephant and buffalo roam throughout Londolozi, while white rhino and lion concentrations are among the highest recorded on the African continent. Yet it’s the leopards of Londolozi that make it world famous for wildlife, and lie at the heart of the Londolozi feeling.  Intimate leopard sightings are frequent here, an experience that our guests agree is a pinnacle life experience.
Children 6 years and older are welcome at Varty Camp. Children 6 – 11 years of age pay 50% of adult rate. Children 12 years or older pay full adult rate.
