The Knowledge of the tracker (Donald) and our guide (Helen) was exceptional and they ensured we were able to see everything. We seen leopards, cheetahs and lions. You stop for a morning coffee out in the bush and sundowners in the evening, this was also excellently organised. The rooms are absolutely stunning with the biggest mini bar I’ve ever seen. The drink options are fantastic. Super comfortable rooms and luxurious. Food was superb. Each evening there was a different location for dinner excellently curated by the team at the hotel, with food prepared to a very high standard. We also used the gym facilities which were great. The service and operational standards at this hotel are exceptional. I would 100% stay at this lodge again it was such an incredible experience

What a memorable stay.
Our experience was perfect from start to finish. Booking the experience through Andy set the tone for the stress-free bush experience.
From the vanilla scented towels, to the delicious food, exciting game drives and phenomenal staff, our stay at Shiduli was magical from the second we arrived and lives in our hearts long after we left.
Your helpful staff greeted us as we arrived and and were with us every step of the way... literally. We were escorted to our private villa by Gary, who my children absolutely adored. Richard, in the bar was on form and Gogo Dorris had faith that we would see lions... which we did.
Thandy and Karen were friendly, professional and made us feel like old friends. We will definitely be back and will bring our friends and family so they can share in this beautiful gem.

SABI SAND WESTERN SECTOR
The western part of the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve in South Africa is a place with rich wildlife diversity and great safari experiences. The Sabi Sand itself is among the most famous and sought-after game reserves in the world, situated in the Mpumalanga province, bordering the Kruger National Park.
Here are a few key features about the western side of Sabi Sand:
Wildlife Abundance: The western side of Sabi Sand is home to a range of wildlife, including the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino). It is especially renowned for its leopard sightings due to the area’s dense vegetation and riverine habitats. You’re also likely to spot other predators like cheetahs and wild dogs, as well as antelope species such as kudu, impala, and zebra.
Luxury Lodges: The western side of the reserve has some of the most exclusive and luxurious lodges and camps that offer high-class safari experiences. These are usually more private, allowing fewer guests per vehicle for a more intimate experience. The remoteness of the area makes it ideal for a peaceful and exclusive getaway.
Rivers and Water Holes: Some of the important rivers and waterholes are set to the west, including the Sand River, which supplies a natural boundary. Such water resources attract a host of animals in these areas, especially during the dry season when amazing game viewing can be possible.
Natural Beauty: Scenic beauty, the western part of the reserve is characterized by dense bushveld, open savannahs, and riverine forests. The beauty of nature, with time taken to watch the sunrise and sunset, adds to the reason for visiting it.
Night Safaris and Walking Safaris: The western area, like other parts of Sabi Sand, has night safaris that are very exciting and allow guests to see nocturnal animals. Nature walks with qualified rangers and trackers are another way of seeing the area in more detail.
This is considered to be a more secluded and private, thus making the drive less busy and adding to the exclusivity of the animal sightings. A number of the lodges allow only guests to use the reserve exclusively.
The western sector of the Sabi Sand offers panoramic areas for luxury holidays combined with abundant wildlife, but attaches much importance to privacy, adventure, and nature conservation.

Sabi Sand Lodges Reviews
We stayed at Arathusa for 3 nights, our room was bush facing and we loved it. Our ranger Jamie was very professional and the food was good. The game drives were the best we had after visiting 4 lodges. We are planning to visit Sabi Sands reserve again early next year.
